A Day of Fun, Fitness, and Philanthropy at Randolph-Macon Academy’s Annual 5K/1K Run

Mark your calendars for a vibrant celebration of community spirit and wellness! On Saturday, April 13, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Randolph-Macon Academy (RMA) in Front Royal, VA, invites one and all to its 3rd Annual 5K/1K event. This year, we’re opening our doors wider than ever, inviting the entire community to join in the fun, whether you’re a runner, walker, or cheerleader. Registration is open, so don’t wait to sign up here.

Last year’s event was such a hit that we’re dialing up the excitement with professional timing for the racers, a variety of food trucks, and even more community involvement. If you’re looking for a day filled with laughter, activity, and a bit of friendly competition, RMA is the place to be.

A Festival of Community and Giving

From the delicious offerings of the Apple House food truck to the sweet treats of ice cream and a special pizza booth run by a cadet with a heart for charity, there’s something for everyone. Inspired by a visit to an orphanage in Sierra Leone, this cadet will be selling pizza, candy, chips, and soda to raise funds for this noble cause.

But the giving doesn’t stop at the food booths. The event benefits the RMA Parents Association, which supports student activities ranging from homecomings to dances. It’s a chance for the whole community to come together to celebrate and support our students and their myriad activities and initiatives.

A Call to Arms (and Legs!)

This isn’t just any race; it’s a professionally timed event that invites participation from all corners of the community. Whether you’re an avid runner looking to set a new personal record, a family looking for a fun day out, or a local business interested in sponsorship opportunities, there’s a place for you here. With levels ranging from Gold to Friends, sponsors can enjoy visibility and the joy of supporting a great cause.

Join the Ranks of Supporters

We’re thrilled to have multiple military branches, local first responders, and possibly the Front Royal Police Department, Sheriff’s Office, and Fire & Rescue joining us, highlighting the strong bonds between RMA and the community.

The enthusiasm is building as the day approaches. The RMA campus will be buzzing with activities, making it a perfect spot for fellowship, appreciation, and community spirit. This event is more than a race; it’s a reflection of our community’s strong ties and shared commitment to supporting each other and our local causes.

Whether you’re sprinting to the finish line, strolling with loved ones, or cheering from the sidelines, your presence enriches our community tapestry.
