Betty Bernice Crawford Stockner (1940 – 2025)

Betty Bernice Crawford Stockner, 85, of Strasburg, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at her home.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 11 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Sammy Campbell officiating.  Burial will follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens, Waterlick, Virginia.

Mrs. Stockner was born on March 25, 1940, in Elkton, Virginia, to the late Lewis and Helen Ramey Crawford.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Millard Stockner; son, Verlin Stockner; sister, Reba McIe, and granddaughter, Lorena Stockner-Leonard.  She was of Methodist faith.

Survivors include her son, Terry Stockner (Nancy) of Harrisonburg, Virginia; daughter, Lorna Stockner Jones (Roger Alger) of Pensacola, Florida; brother, Roynall Crawford of Berryville, Virginia; and grandson, Nicholas Stockner of Harrisonburg.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
