Seth Payne Henry, age 34, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on August 7, 2025. Born on May 26, 1991, in Winchester, Virginia, he was blessed with the love of two mothers, the late Kimberly Mathews Henry and Connie Morrison Henry, and the lifelong love and devotion of his father, Jerry Henry.

Seth Payne Henry

Seth was a gentle soul with a kind and sweet spirit that touched everyone who knew him. His quick wit could bring laughter even in difficult moments, and his love for music shone through in many ways, including forming a band with friends during high school that went on to play at local and regional venues. He served proudly in the Army National Guard and found joy in the simple pleasures, a good round of golf, time with loved ones, and the companionship of his loyal dog, Finn. Above all, Seth’s greatest devotion was to his family.

Seth’s journey included a courageous battle with alcoholism, and his family shares this part of his story to honor his truth, to encourage compassion, and to help remove the stigma surrounding addiction. They hope that by speaking openly, others who are struggling will reach out for help through the SAMHSA Helpline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357), and for families, Al-Anon at www.al-anon.org.

He is now reunited with his mother, Kimberly Mathews Henry, and his grandparents, Prudence B. Mathews, Charlotte Henry, and Charles Morrison. He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Connie Henry, his sister Hannah Henry, and his brother at heart, Kendall Burke, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal, Virginia, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 10 AM, with a memorial service to continue immediately afterward at 780 Esteppe Rd, Front Royal, Virginia, to celebrate Seth’s life.

Forever loved. Forever missed.
