Virgil Raynardo Staccato Johnson, 61, of Front Royal, VA, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Virgil was born to Bessie Mary Johnson (Robert Johnson) and the late Lewis Virgil Johnson. He was also preceded in heaven by his grandfather, Charles Henry Williams; his grandmothers, Mary Elizabeth Pendleton Williams, Vennie, and Bessie Johnson; his wife, Stephanie Turner Johnson; and his granddaughter, A’Journey Cordella Jordon-Nash-Johnson.

Virgil was born on January 29, 1964. He graduated from Warren County High School in 1982. He had many friends throughout his time in school and played Little League football. He was a hard worker who labored as a cook, warehouse worker, and, lastly, as a nursing home housekeeper, where all the residents loved him.

Virgil moved to Harrisburg, PA, with his late wife, Stephanie, and his step-daughter, Tiffany. He lived there for 15 years until his return to Front Royal in 2014. He loved the Redskins football team, playing his music, cards, and cornhole.

Surviving Virgil, along with his mother, is his daughter, Tiara Ranay Nash Johnson of Harrisburg, PA; his fiancé, Christine Bailey; his siblings, Tatia Markell Desiree Johnson (Clarence Carter), Michicko Stantria Darchese Johnson (George Myers), Christopher Brown (Regina Brown), and Izelle Frye; his nieces and nephews, Raffinee Johnson (Luby Compton), Joycee Pierce, A’niah Neal, Jordan Neal, Ayden Neal, Icelynn Carter, Takita Johnson (Maurice Tate), Zakyra Smallwood, Zamari Edwards, Briana Weaver, Rashad Weaver, Kamal Weaver, Raycharo Johnson, Raven Johnson, Reiko Johnson, Phillip Johnson, Malachi Johnson, Nicholi Johnson, and Jasmine Johnson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; and numerous other extended family and friends. Virgil will be missed more than words can describe by all who knew and loved him. He touched so many lives.
