Christina Annette Stanberry (1987 – 2024)

 Christina Annette Stanberry, of Richmond, departed this life suddenly on Monday, August 26th, in Richmond, VA.

She was born in Manila, Philippines, on October 13, 1987, to Renee’ Denise Athey.  Christina had a village of loving family members who assisted her mother, Renee, in raising.  Her uncles, Larry Davis, Sr., and Robert Athey, Jr., and her maternal grandfather, Robert Athey, Sr., took pride in raising such a precious soul.

Christina received her education at the Royal Christian Academy and worked as a Licensed Insurance Agent.

She was preceded in death by her husband, DeMario Stanberry, paternal grandfather, Robert Lee, and cousins, Robert Athey, Jr., and Ryan Athey.

Besides her mother Renee’, she leaves to cherish her precious memories are her biological father, Bryant Rummel; three children, Christopher, age 16,  Isaiah, age 9, and Ava, age 8; three sisters, Amanda Bowers (Jason), of Hedgesville, WV, Chelsea Sanker (Richard), of Toms Brook, VA, and Sonya Henry of Front Royal, VA; one brother, Tyler Henry of Strasburg, VA; maternal grandparents, Robert and Barbara Athey; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Lee; and countless loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, and friends.

Christina Annette Stanberry left her earthly body at 5:15 am on August 26, 2024, after tragically being struck in Richmond, VA, by a vehicle.

Her family and friends loved her, and she will be forever missed.  Please keep Christina’s children and family in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7th, at the Life Point Church, 1111 N. Shenandoah Ave, Front Royal, VA, with John Kenney as the Officiating Minister.
