Darlene Joy King Thompson (1945 – 2025)
Darlene Joy King Thompson, 80, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Winchester, Virginia.
A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2025, immediately following the morning church service at First Baptist Church, 14 W 1st Street, Front Royal, Virginia.
Mrs. Thompson was born on September 19, 1945, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to the late Howard and Mamie Lockhart King.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jimmy Thompson of Front Royal; daughter, Michelle L. Reppert (Michael) of Holly Springs, North Carolina; three brothers, Myron Steward King of Front Royal, Vern Steven King (Gayle) of Front Royal, and Barry Dean King of Strasburg, Virginia; and two grandchildren, Cora Reppert and Lily Reppert.
