Dennis Edward Kirby (1958 – 2024)

Dennis Edward Kirby, 66, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away at Winchester Medical Center on Friday, October 11, 2024.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 2 pm. at Prospect Hill Cemetery, 200 West Prospect Street, Front Royal, with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Dennis was a loving and dedicated son, grandson, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived in life and death by devoted father Lucien Kirby one special grandmother, Maggie Atkins; devoted mother, Shirley Kirby, and loving children, son, Christopher Kirby and daughter, Candice Trimble. He also leaves behind his beautiful granddaughters, Brooklyn Kirby and Madison Kirby, and great granddaughter, Georgia Monfort. Dennis was a dedicated worker for 40+ years in the concrete industry.

“Kirby,” as his many friends and coworkers often called him, enjoyed the company of his many pets and friends. He was most often found spending time with family. He enjoyed many hobbies over the years. From bowling to golf to rebuilding an S10 for Sumerduck. Kirby also loved soaking up a simple Sunday while firing up the grill and watching his favorite football team, The Redskins. His most often used motto was “one day at a time,” his kind nature and heart will be remembered by all who knew him.
