Eugene Tewalt sworn in as Mayor of Front Royal

Finally the votes are counted and verified. Janice Shanks, Clerk of the Court did the honors and administered the oath to Eugene Tewalt as Mayor of Front Royal. This was a special election and Tewalt will finish out the unexpired term of former Mayor Hollis Tharpe who stepped down earlier this summer. The Council now has 45 days to appoint a person to fill the seat vacated by Tewalt.

Tewalts children and grand children were at the courthouse to watch the ceremony.
