Fauquier Health has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, marking its second consecutive “A” this year. The recognition highlights Fauquier Health’s commitment to patient safety and its efforts to prevent medical errors and harm.

This grade is part of The Leapfrog Group’s national hospital safety ratings, based on over 30 patient safety and performance measures. The achievement underscores Fauquier Health’s dedication to creating a culture where patient care and safety are top priorities.

“I’m so proud of everyone on the Fauquier Health team,” said Rebecca Segal, FACHE, CEO of Fauquier Health. “Our nurses, physicians, clinical and ancillary staff, volunteers, and board members all contribute to an environment centered on quality care. We proudly care for our community, providing safe and exceptional care close to home.”

Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group, also commended the hospital, saying, “Achieving an ‘A’ is a significant accomplishment that reflects Fauquier Health’s dedication to patients and families. The whole community should be proud of this recognition.”

The Leapfrog Group, an independent watchdog organization, has been grading hospitals nationwide for over a decade. Its safety ratings are peer-reviewed, publicly available, and updated twice yearly.
