Get ready to lace up your running shoes and head to the John Paul the Great Montessori Academy at 768 Bowling View Rd in Front Royal, Virginia, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, for the “For God and Country” 2-mile Obstacle Course Trail Run. This event promises fun, adventure, and a healthy competition for ages 10 to 99!

Event Details

The day starts with registration at 8:00 a.m. and the first race at 9:00 a.m. The race will occur on the school’s scenic property, winding through fields, pine trees, and stunning natural surroundings. Participants will be able to navigate various challenging obstacles, including water, mud, climbing, and crawling. Two heats are available: the first, at 9:00 a.m., is for serious competitors planning to tackle every obstacle, while the second is for those who prefer to skip the obstacles.

Pricing and Registration

Race entry is $20 if registered by September 15, 2024. After that, the fee increases to $25. T-shirts are also available for purchase: $15 with event tickets until September 5, $20 afterward, and $25 on race day. Registration closes on September 20, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.

Other Events and Activities

For those looking for a different type of challenge, the “For God and Country 2 Mile Run (No Obstacles)” begins at 10:30 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. The entry fee is $20, and there is a $2.20 sign-up fee.

Younger participants, ages 6 to 10, can join the “Little Patriots 1 Miler Obstacle Course Run” at 10:15 a.m. This one-mile run includes a few fun obstacles and costs just $10, plus a $1.60 sign-up fee.

There’s something for the little ones, too! The “Patriots Playground” is a fun-filled area for kids aged 1 to 9. Open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., this play area features a moon bounce, games, face painting, crafts, and child care, all for a $5 fee plus a $1.30 sign-up fee.

Support a Great Cause

All proceeds from the event will support the John Paul the Great Montessori Academy’s upper school and mission trip to Kentucky. Additionally, 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a charity supporting fallen first responders and their families.
