on

On August 21, 2025, deputies with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Xavier Roy, 30, of Front Royal, who was wanted on two felony failure-to-appear warrants. The attempted stop occurred near the 200 block of West Duck Street. Roy refused to stop and led deputies on a high-speed pursuit along Forest Hill Drive and Strasburg Road, reaching speeds over 120 mph and endangering other motorists as he drove recklessly through Warren and Shenandoah Counties.

Warren County deputies successfully deployed spike strips on Interstate 66, disabling the vehicle. Roy fled on foot but was quickly taken into custody. A search revealed suspected cocaine.
Roy was transported to RSW Regional Jail and charged with felony eluding, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, destruction of property, and possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance, in addition to being served the outstanding warrants. He is being held without bond.
