Robert B. Walters, 95, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Warren Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Walters was born January 2, 1931, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the son of the late Clarence and Virginia Walters.

In his early years, he proudly served in the United States Air Force before pursuing careers in electronics and sales.

Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Ailsa Walters; his parents; and his daughter, Susan Stefko. After the loss of his wife, he found companionship in his longtime partner, Nancy Fries, who remained an important part of his life.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving is a son, Steven Walters and wife Ann Kay of Virginia Beach; one brother, James “Jimmy” Walters and wife Sandy of Stephens City; five grandsons, Brent Foveaux, Brian Foveaux, Chris Stefko, Dustin Walters and Jeremy Walters; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Chase, Caileigh, Hudson, Carver, Madison and Charlotte; and son-in-law, Jim Stefko.

Mr. Walters was an avid sports fan who rarely missed a chance to cheer on the Washington Redskins and the Virginia Cavaliers. Above all, he had a deep love for golf. He didn’t just play, he understood the game, appreciating its patience and precision. Even at the age of 80, he could still step up and send the ball straight down the fairway, a testament to both his skill and enduring spirit.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
