Front Royal’s Wine & Crafts Festival – FUN, even if wine glass-less
As I arrived shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon, May 20, to photograph Front Royal’s annual Wine & Crafts Festival I was informed of a crisis in the works – a shortage of wine glasses!!! And while I did see some possibly empty-handed wine zombies wandering aimlessly, generally “spirits” were high over the hour or so I was on the scene.
Chamber Director Niki Foster said, “We had a great day – the weather was terrific and that translated to a large crowd. We did have to switch to plain wine glasses later in the day because we sold out of our logo glasses. It was a great problem to have.”

In fact, spirits – even of the empty-handed variety – appeared buoyed by the suddenly seasonal spring temperatures under gray but dry skies, music, dancing and myriad crafts and food options available. — But you KNOW what THEY say: “A picture is worth a thousand words” – so, here’s about 16,000 words worth of festival FUN …

Back to Zero got the crowd dancing with some classic Michael Jackson covers to open the afternoon music set — Gallows Bound and Grass Fed also entertained at various times and places.




Hmm, ‘Meltdown’ – I wonder if they’ll let adults in on this – Looks like fun … ‘Look, a grouse!!!’
