Future plans for property behind Crooked Run Shopping Center

Crooked Run West LLC, the developers of the property behind the Crooked Run Shopping Center want now to change the zoning from commercial use to a mixed use. Development would include single and multi-family housing, assisted living homes, apartments, hotels and other commercial uses. Some area will be set aside for public use such as parks and walking trails.
One major issue will be water and sewer service from the Town of Front Royal. Will enough water be available? We’ll need to wait and see what the Town Council will consider. The Royal Examiner keep you informed.
