A WHAT MATTERS Initiative sponsored by Beth Medved Waller:

EVERY DOLLAR UP TO $12,500 WILL BE MATCHED TO SEND $25,000 TOWARDS THE BUILDING OF A SCHOOL IN THE REMOTE VILLAGE OF BUNYADE (in Uganda, AFRICA)!

Beth describes the Go Fund Me Campaign and introduces the village in this WHAT MATTERS World Video she created:

[spacer height=”20px”] “After a successful $5,000 match campaign in December and an emotional school groundbreaking in April, it was clear to me that more must be done to help the children in the village of Bunyade. My heart also wanted to find a way to thank the 56 generous donors who enabled the 2017 campaign to successfully send $10,000  to help children on the other side of the world. After church last Sunday, my daughter Sara had an idea, “Do another GOFUNDME, Mom!” This 2nd campaign to support Light up Life is launched on 4/29/18, the 73rd anniversary of my grandfather’s release from German POW Camp on April 29, 1945. Always a special holiday for my family, I’ve tried to do something special in his memory around this time of year since he became an angel in the great beyond at the age of 73 in 1993.

Light up Life Foundation has a goal of an additional $25,000 for the initial school construction in this remote village. This WHAT MATTERS Initiative will enable me to return to Africa in July with donations from generous souls around the world. I have pledged to match every dollar raised up to $12,500 to enable this dream of giving the young students in Bunyade a proper school to become a reality.

I also am inviting others to join me to stay in Light up Life’s Maisha house from July 13-21, 2018 (to take supplies and see first-hand what a difference every dollar makes at the home for children and in the village of Bunyade). Visit www.whatmattersw2.com for more information about Light up Life Foundation and WHAT MATTERS or email me for details about the trip or WHAT MATTER Initiatives in Africa (beth@whatmattersw2.com).

Every dollar raised on this campaign will be donated to Light up Life Foundation and matched by me. Past donors are encouraged to share this campaign with others to spread awareness about the needs in Africa and should not feel compelled to donate again. This campaign is my way of thanking those 56 donors who supported the past campaign and an effort to show my deep respect for the work the Light up Life team is doing to improve the lives of so many children in their country.”
