High Achievers honored at R-MA Middle School Awards Ceremony
Randolph-Macon Academy faculty and staff recognized the Middle School high achievers during the annual Awards and Promotion Ceremony held on May 23, 2019. Among those earning recognition were the following local students:

Jason Hoff, Jr. of Front Royal, VA
Jason Hoff, Jr. of Front Royal, VA the son of Jason and Lanora Hoff of Front Royal, VA and a sixth grade student at R-MA during the 2018-19 school year. Junior received the Outstanding Student Award for English 6 Literature, Earth Science, and U.S. History, and the Most Improved Student Award for English 6 Composition. He was also recognized during the ceremony for achieving the Principal’s List (3.5 to 3.9 GPA) every quarter during the school year.

Peyton Kaufman of Front Royal, VA
Peyton Kaufman of Front Royal, VA the daughter of David and Monica Kaufman of Front Royal, VA and an eighth grade student at R-MA during the 2018-19 school year. Peyton received the Outstanding Student Award for English 8 Composition, Physical Science, Physical Education, and World History I. She was also recognized during the ceremony for achieving the Principal’s List (3.5 to 3.9 GPA) every quarter during the school year. In addition, Peyton was honored for her service as the 2018-19 Interact Club Vice President. Her final award of the ceremony came when she was recognized with the Most Genteel Female Award, given to the student who best demonstrates the qualities of gentility, such as courtesy, graciousness, and thoughtfulness to others.

Grant Leasure of Front Royal, VA
Grant Leasure of Front Royal, VA the son of Derrick and Michelle Leasure of Front Royal, VA and a seventh grade student at R-MA during the 2018-19 school year. Grant was recognized for achieving the Principal’s List (3.5 to 3.9 GPA) every quarter during the school year.

Benjamin Murphy of Front Royal, VA
Benjamin Murphy of Front Royal, VA the son of Gary Murphy and Barbara Bernard of Front Royal, VA and a seventh grade student at R-MA during the 2018-19 school year. Ben was recognized for achieving the Principal’s List (3.5 to 3.9 GPA) every quarter during the school year.

Katie Reagan of Front Royal, VA
Katie Reagan of Front Royal, VA the daughter of Matthew and Anne Reagan of Front Royal, VA and a seventh grade student at R-MA during the 2018-19 school year. Katie received the Most Improved Student Award for Life Science and Physical Education. She earned the Presidential Education Award, which is awarded to students who maintained a grade point average of 4.0 or above in each grading period throughout the year.
