Jose Antonio Rohena (1980 – 2024)
Jose Antonio Rohena, age 43, passed away peacefully on May 25th, 2024. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend who would be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jose Antonio Rohena
Jose was born on July 19, 1980, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, then moved to New York, where he spent his childhood and became a lifelong Giants and Yankees fan. Jose attended school and later earned his GED in New York. His family then relocated to Front Royal, where he lived until he passed.
More than anything, Jose was a loving father. He enjoyed spending time with his children, sharing stories, playing video games, and watching them play sports. Jose was there to offer support and encouragement, even while undergoing cancer treatment. He also was there for many of the children’s firsts (first lost tooth, first day of school, first game, etc). Jose was also very active in his nephew’s and nieces’ lives when they were younger and enjoyed spending time with them.
Jose is survived by his beautiful children, Skyler and Skyline. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Santiago, and his father, Ramon Rohena. Jose is survived by a sister, Jenny Rohena, brother Felix Acevedo, nephews Matthew and Jacob Nieves, niece Luachka Rojas, great nephews, Jasiah Rojas and D’Angelo Pacheco, as well as many friends and others. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
A private funeral service will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the GoFundMe account set up to pay his final expenses.
