Kenneth Earl Carter (1947 – 2025)

Kenneth Earl Carter, 77, of Staunton, Virginia, and formerly of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Staunton Post Acute and Rehabilitation in Staunton.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 2, at 2:30 p.m. in Bennett’s Chapel Cemetery in Warren County, with Pastor Rick Kerfoot officiating.

Mr. Carter was born November 25, 1947, in Front Royal, Virginia, the son of the late Raymond Gilbert Carter Sr. and Ruby Virginia Clifton Carter.

He retired after many dedicated years from VDOT.

Mr. Carter was married to the late Mary Frances Steele Carter.

Surviving is a son, David Wayne Carter of Front Royal; two daughters, Jennifer Wiles of Woodstock and Tina Carter of Staunton; one brother, Robert Carter of Florida; two sisters, Lois Marchi and Joyce “Ann” Derflinger, both of Front Royal; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brother, Raymond Carter, who went to heaven the day before Kenneth.
