Lawrence Russell “Lars” Smith (1951 – 2025)

Lawrence Russell “Lars” Smith, 73, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Warren Memorial Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 11 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Mr. Smith was born in Front Royal on October 15, 1951, to the late Russell and Ethel Vaughan Smith.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Debra Deaton Smith; son, Jeremy Smith; and brother, Nelson Glenn Smith.  He retired as a supervisor for Century Link after over forty years of service.  He was of Baptist faith.

Survivors include his two sons, Sean D. Smith and Kyle W. Smith; brother, Dean A. Smith; granddaughter, Debra Elizabeth Smith; and two nephews, Colton Smith and Nathan Smith, and their families.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
