Middletown Launching New Evening Market Series on Church Street

Published

on

The Town of Middletown will launch its first-ever Middletown Evening Market on Friday, June 26, bringing vendors, food, music, and community activities to downtown.

The event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Church Street near the Middletown Town Office, where the street will close to traffic as residents and visitors explore an open-air market featuring 26 local vendors, artisans, makers, and farmers.

Guests can enjoy food from Billy Sous Food Truck, wine from Star in the Valley Winery, and live entertainment throughout the evening.

Headlining the event will be former Washington Commanders wide receiver Billy McMullen, who now performs as a singer-songwriter with the Billy Mac Band. Organizers said McMullen blends country, blues, and Southern rock influences into his performances.

Before launching his music career, McMullen was an All-American football player at the University of Virginia and later played professionally in the NFL, including on the 2004 NFC Championship team.

Town officials said the Evening Market is intended to become a new summer tradition focused on community connection and supporting local businesses.

The event is sponsored by Tech Team Solutions LLC.

Several public parking locations will be available within walking distance of the event, including Main Street, Town Park, the Post Office, Fire Department, and Police Academy parking areas. A free shuttle service provided by 5-Star Executive Chauffeuring LLC will run from 6 to 8 p.m.

The weekend activities will continue Saturday morning with a free Community Fitness Day led by McMullen at Middletown Town Park from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Organizers said the event is open to all ages and fitness levels.
