On Cue Sports Bar & Grill Grand Opening Sunday at noon

For families looking for some low-cost fun this weekend, On Cue Sports Bar & Grill in Front Royal might be just the place to go. On Sunday, July 22, at noon, a Grand Opening gets underway.

New owners Cole Haase and Danielle Whited have poured a lot of love, time and effort into making the former Breaktime Billiards a more family-friendly establishment in which folks can enjoy a meal, play a game of pool, throw darts, or simply hang out, have a drink and watch a sports event on one of the large television screens.

While some long-time billiards players enjoy weekly league games, Cole says he often sees families stop in for a game or two, just to have fun. Others come for the weekly chip tournaments, which are held every  Sunday.

Haase has been playing pool himself for over 20 years, while his partner and co-owner Danielle Whited says she picked up the game more recently, in 2015. Both say their employees are friendly, skilled at the game, and are always willing to help anyone out who has questions or wants to get a few tips on how to shoot or learn the rules of the game.

On Cue offers an enjoyable atmosphere for both players and those who come to watch the games or enjoy other activities.

Cole has been playing at this particular location for years, which is why he decided to purchase the business when it became available. He said that he and Danielle both agreed that they wanted to make some changes, especially to the menu.
Some new additions to the menu include salads, appetizers, and Friday evening specials—such as surf and turf—served on the new patio. The kids’ menu includes items such as a cheese quesadilla, s’mores Paninis and more.

Guests may opt for a round of darts, which are enclosed in a small area off to the side of the main room, for safety. For those who wish to watch tournament players in action, the chairs are comfy and the staff is friendly.

Watching players in action is a fun past-time at On Cue. In fact, one the teams have won local and regional Masters tournaments and is now on the way to Las Vegas after taking first place in a Vegas Masters qualifier earlier this summer. Cole said the last time a team from the former establishment went it was 2015.

Headed to Vegas later this summer are  Mike Peters, who works part-time at On Cue, Bobby Sours, Willie Whitehair and Frank Reynolds.

On Cue is located at 460 South Commerce Ave, Ste. A  in Front Royal
