Priscilla “Lucy” McCabe (1950 – 2025)

Lucy McCabe, 75, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.

Lucy was born February 7, 1950, in Beards Fork, West Virginia, to Hiskle and Sallie Gambill.

After graduating from Montgomery High School, she moved to Fairfax, Virginia, where she met the love of her life, John McCabe. They moved to Front Royal, Virginia, where Lucy dedicated her life to her family and home, raising their daughter and helping with all of her grandchildren.

Her family will greatly miss her.

Lucy is survived by her daughter, Brandy West and husband Brian of Front Royal, Virginia; four grandchildren, Kayla Bane and husband Ryan, Taylor Corathers, Chance Corathers, and Wyatt West; and three great-grandchildren, Laken Bane, Baylor Bane and Laynie Bane.

She is proceeded in death by her late husband of 42 years, John H. McCabe; her parents, Hiskle Rogan, and Sallie Elzadia Gambill; her five siblings, William Porter Gambill, Walter Gambill, Norma Gail Gambill, Jo Ann Gambill, and Doris Gambill; and one great-grandchild, Landry Rae Bane.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in Lucy’s memory. Please contact the family for details.
