Robert C. “Bob” Neal, 78, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Inurnment will be private in Maine.

Bob was born January 12, 1947, in Portland, Maine, the son of the late Frank Ray Neal and Frances Chapman Neal. He was a 1965 graduate of Deering High School in Portland, Maine.

He co-owned and operated Star Pontiac Buick GMC in Leesburg, now known as Leesburg Buick GMC and Hummer. Bob was also active in the wholesale used car business for many years and opened Bob’s Used Cars in Winchester after leaving Star Pontiac.

His favorite job was driving a school bus for several years for Frederick County Public Schools. Most recently, Bob drove a dump truck for Juanita V. Trucking.

He served as a past Secretary-Treasurer of the Loudoun Golf and Country Club in Purcellville.

Surviving is his devoted wife of 45 years, Linda Click Neal; two sons, Robert Neal Jr. and wife Kimberly of Charles Town, West Virginia and Darin Neal and wife Crystal of Stephens City; daughter, Christina Neal-Burns of Charles Town, West Virginia; two brothers, Ray Neal and wife Cindy of Richmond and Sam Neal and wife Peg of Freeport, Maine; sister, Nancy Webber; and grandchildren, Amelia, Kyle, Sarah, Logan, and Peyton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Brent Neal and Birchard Neal.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
