Robert L. Baker (1934 – 2024)

Robert L. Baker, 89, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away at Lynn Care Center on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 11 AM at Panorama Memorial Gardens in Waterlick, Virginia, with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Mr. Baker was born to the late Ira and Irene Atkins Baker on September 2, 1934, in Sperryville, Virginia.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Baker.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and a transport driver at the end of World War II.  Following his Army service, he became a steelworker.

Survivors include his four sons, Kenneth Baker (Brenda) of Front Royal, Bobby Baker of Front Royal, Lennis Baker of Strasburg, Virginia, and Ronald Baker (Joyce) of Strasburg; daughter, Bobiline Clark (Ervine) of North Carolina; stepson, Raymond Atkins; brother, Charles Baker; three sisters, Mildred, Shirley and Ruth; 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
