Roger Lynn Foster, 78, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Prospect Hill Cemetery, 200 W Prospect St, Front Royal, Virginia 22630, with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Roger was born in Virginia to the late William Franklin and Kathleen Sours Foster. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Woodfin Cave Foster; his brothers, Ronald Foster and Preston Foster; and his grandson, David Chapman.

Roger is survived by his children, Chauncey Hawkins, Sheri Saucedo, Lisa Foster, and Kimberley Weakley; his sisters, Bonnie Bradley and Brenda Tharpe; his grandchildren, Megean Liggins, Jacob Weakley, and Racheal S. Melvin; his seven great-grandchildren; a special niece, Tina Mathews; and numerous extended family members.

Roger worked in construction in Front Royal for many years. He has been a lifelong bodybuilder and has always enjoyed spending time with his dogs and cat. He loved to sit on his front porch, drink coffee, and smoke his cigarettes while watching the traffic go by. He had a witty sense of humor and always found a way and words to make you laugh. He missed Mom more than words can say. He visited her gravesite every day. Now they’re together again. We all love you pop. Give Mom and David a hug for us 💔
