Ruby Marie Hartman (1931 – 2024)

Ruby Marie Hartman, 93, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 20204, at the Lynn Care Center in Front Royal.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 22, at 1:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, with Rev. Sherry Waddell officiating. Interment will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens at Waterlick.

Mrs. Hartman was born April 26, 1931, in Roanoke, Virginia, the daughter of the late Garfield Epperly and Laura Barton Epperly.

She worked for Avtex Fibers for many years and retired from the Federal Government.

Surviving is a son, Kevin Hartman and wife Cindy of Front Royal; daughter, Vicky Saffell and husband Jimmy Saffell, Sr. of Front Royal; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her dear and special friends, Pat McCauley, Brenda Petefish, Donna Venable, Deborah StClair and Verlyne Simmons Key.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, C.N. Mike Hartman, and six siblings.

Kevin Hartman, Sr., Kevin Hartman, II, Jimmy Saffell, Jr., and Tony Crim will be pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 21, from 6 to 8 p.m.
