Russell Lee “Rebel” Frasure Jr.  (1945-2025)

Russell Lee “Rebel” Frasure Jr., 80, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Poplar Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warrenton, Virginia.

Russell Lee “Rebel” Frasure Jr. 

Born on August 1, 1945, in Harman, Virginia, he was the son of the late Russell Lee Frasure Sr. and Marie Juanita Frasure. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: sisters Pat Abel, Zena Conley, Bertha Henson, and brother Michael Frasure.

His children survive him: daughter Tonya Jones and her husband, Daniel Jones, of Front Royal; daughter Destinee Barr and her husband, Paul Barr, of Strasburg; and son Rodney Frasure of Warrenton. He was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren, great-grandfather to 3 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. He is also survived by his ex-wife and lifelong companion, Sharon Frasure-Dixon, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved him dearly and will miss him deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be announced once arrangements are finalized.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who have supported them during this time and invites friends and loved ones to join in remembering Rebel’s life and legacy.
