South River Leaders to Host Community Forum Focused on District Issues
Residents of the South River District will have an opportunity to speak directly with local leaders during an upcoming informal community forum hosted by School Board Chair Kristen Pence and South River District Supervisor Cheryl Cullers.
The meeting will be held:
South River District Community Meeting
Sunday, March 15, 2026
2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Skyline High School Cafeteria
The two elected officials are organizing the event to focus primarily on issues affecting South River families, neighborhoods, and schools. Both leaders say the goal is to create a relaxed setting where residents can ask questions, raise concerns, and connect with local resources.
Cullers serves as the South River District representative on the Warren County Board of Supervisors and currently chairs the board. Pence represents the same district on the Warren County School Board and serves as its chair. Together, they hope to bring county government and school leadership into one room for open conversation.
In addition to the two elected officials, several county services and community organizations are expected to attend. Invitations have been extended to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Fire and Rescue, the Department of Social Services, House of Hope, HARTS, the Hike Kidz Foundation, and other local groups.
The forum is designed to be informal rather than a structured public hearing. Residents will be able to move between tables, speak one-on-one with representatives, and gather information about programs and services available in the district.
Organizers say that issues in the South River District often range from school-related concerns and public safety to housing, infrastructure, and youth services. By bringing multiple agencies together, they hope to make it easier for residents to find answers in one place.
Events like this can also help county leaders hear directly from constituents outside of regular board meetings, where time limits and formal procedures can sometimes limit discussion.
Cullers and Pence are encouraging South River residents to attend, ask questions, and share feedback. They also ask community members to help spread the word to neighbors who may benefit from meeting local officials and service providers face-to-face.
As South River continues to grow and evolve, both leaders say community engagement remains a priority. The upcoming forum aims to strengthen communication, address district-specific concerns, and connect families with the resources they need.
