Walter Lin (Lenny) Campbell (1944 – 2024)
Walter Lin (Lenny) Campbell passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 28, 2024, surrounded by family and his beloved cat. Lenny’s early life showed his entrepreneurial tendencies, as he had a mail route at age 10. After getting his license and saving up enough money, his first order of business was to buy a 1956 Ford, which he and his friends roamed the roads of Warren County.
Lenny was a self-made man. He was a tireless worker and excelled at many things. As a construction contractor, he received much admiration and accolades for his craftsmanship and perfection in building and remodeling homes in the area. He could look at a house where all the rooms and floors were crooked and remodel it to transform it into a work of art.
Lenny and his wife Jeannette established Century 21 Campbell Realty in 1982. Their business is well respected throughout the Shenandoah Valley.
Lenny was also a fair-minded landlord to his many tenants over the years. He provided many renters with a decent apartment and affordable rent.
Lenny was a kind-hearted lover of all animals that roamed the earth, especially the apples of his eye, Tippy, Tasha, The Cat, Mollie, Ralph, Mr. Peeps, and Sophie.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette, one daughter, Sharon, two brothers, Tommy and Bobby Campbell, two nephews, a niece, and several cousins. His mother and father, Jessie and Frank Campbell, sister Barbara Thompson, and nephew Eddie Campbell preceded him in death.
Services were private. Donations can be made in his honor to the Warren County Humane Society.
