LIVE ORCHESTRA!
The Director, Tara Johnson, has many people she’d like to thank – this was a community effort, and it shows:
- I want to thank my phenomenally supportive principal, Dr. Smith. He has truly blessed me with a dream job.
- I also appreciate the extraordinary legacy that Richard Follett has left behind as the former Director at Skyline HS. He continues to support my artistic endeavors!!!
- A huge shout-out to Bo Taylor and Sharon Doffermire for continuing to keep our beautiful facility pristine. Their loving efforts and interest in our production, along with the entire Skyline custodial staff, shows on a daily basis.
- I’m in awe and am so blessed at the immense expertise, professionalism, and assistance from Carly Hotek and Daniel Holland (my Vocal Director and Musical Conductor). Their talents are beyond measure!
- Troy Johnson (my husband and carpenter) and Tanner Johnson (my 13-year-old daughter, co-choreographer, and set painter) have spent an obscene amount of hours diligently working on this production. I literally could not have pulled this off without them.
- I’m grateful for the well-behaved, talented, committed cast that has the most extraordinary work ethic that a director could ever hope for!!! They have truly bonded at rehearsals during this high-energy adventure. I appreciate their parent’s support too!!!
- Hillbilly’s Bentonville Junkyard graciously let us use an awesome 1957 Chrysler Imperial gratis!!!
- Michael Lee Williams LLC Rollback and Backhoe Service generously donated his services to tow “Greased Lightnin” to Skyline HS!!!
- Also a quick plug for my best friend across town, Tammy Coffman. She directed “Aladdin” at Front Royal Christian School (April 11, 12, 13). Another shout-out to Chris Whitney, who directed “Freaky Friday” at Warren County HS (March 28, 29, 30). The community is lucky to have so many talented directors in the area, and I’m so lucky to have their love and support!
Be sure to support and encourage these talented students and the many adults who make it possible for them to follow their dreams of acting! You’ll have an entertaining evening, and you’ll show this hard-working group that their many months of preparing for the production is appreciated!
