William R. “Billy” “Porkchop” Smith, II (1969 – 2024)

William R. “Billy” “Porkchop” Smith, II, 54, of Strasburg, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center after spending an amazing day fishing with his family.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 20, at 4:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, with Patrick Morris officiating. The inurnment will be private.

Billy was born August 14, 1969, in Fauquier County, the son of the late William Ramsey Smith, Sr., and Mary Churchill Smith.

He was employed with S.W. Rodgers for many years.

Surviving is his wife, Stephanie Smith; one son, Mike Porter and wife Crystal of Luray; five grandchildren, Nathan Morris, Zackery Franklin, Sierra Porter, Allie Porter, and Titan Teter; and numerous loved cousins. He is also survived by his lifelong coworker and best friend, Bill Hogue.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 20, from 3 to 4 p.m.
