What’s it like to be funny every day? When Jeff MacNelly, the Pulitzer Prize winning political cartoonist, met Susie in 1989, he immediately realized she was the wiseass Roz he’d been drawing in “Shoe.” They married and took up residence on a Blue Ridge mountaintop. After Jeff’s premature death, Susie and friends continue the conversations between Shoe, Roz, Cosmo, and the characters that make “Shoe” an award winning strip. Join us to celebrate the 40th year anniversary of “Shoe” with Susie, the treetop comic!
