4th Annual Suicide Prevention Motorcycle Ride Set for September 20 in Front Royal
The community will come together in compassion, remembrance, and hope at the 4th Annual Suicide Prevention Motorcycle Ride and Awareness Event, scheduled for Friday, September 20, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Warren County Health and Human Services Complex, located at 465 W 15th Street in Front Royal. A rain date is set for Friday, October 11, 2025.
This heartfelt event serves multiple purposes: to honor those lost to suicide, support survivors and loved ones, and help raise awareness about mental health challenges and resources. It aims to turn grief into action and isolation into community.
What began four years ago as a grassroots gathering has grown into a full-day event that draws attendees from across the region. Organizers emphasize that the day is about more than just remembrance—it’s about connection, education, and healing.
The highlight of the day is the community motorcycle ride, which symbolizes solidarity and hope. Riders of all backgrounds are invited to participate as a show of unity for suicide prevention and mental wellness. The ride typically draws a powerful mix of veterans, families, first responders, and community members, many of whom have personal stories to share.
In addition to the ride, attendees can expect a full schedule of activities, including:
- Guest speakers with lived experience and professional expertise in mental health
- Local resource tables offering information on counseling, crisis support, and wellness programs
- A collaborative art project, giving participants a chance to express themselves and contribute to a visual message of hope
- Raffles and benefit lunch, with proceeds supporting suicide prevention initiatives
- Live music and moments of reflection, creating a welcoming, supportive space
The event is organized with the mission to remind the community that no one struggles alone, and that help is available. It also seeks to reduce the stigma surrounding suicide and mental illness by fostering open conversation and education.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, suicide remains one of the leading causes of death in the United States, particularly among young adults and veterans. Events like this one provide a lifeline of awareness and community support, often sparking conversations that continue long after the day ends.
Organizers encourage everyone—whether they ride or not—to attend, connect, and show their support. Mental health professionals, peer advocates, and community leaders will be on hand to help individuals and families learn more about the resources available to them.

Whether you come to ride, to listen, or simply to stand in solidarity, the Suicide Prevention Motorcycle Ride and Awareness Event is a powerful reminder that healing is possible—and that the community cares.
