Maria Theresa Crouch
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W Main St. Front Royal, Virginia 22630, with Pastor Hollis Hillman officiating. Guests are welcome to visit with the family one hour before the service. Following all services, the burial will occur at Bennett’s Chapel Cemetery.
Maria was born on December 28, 1950, in Arlington, Virginia, to the late Richard Bernard and Kathleen Lucille Doan Moore. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Steven Moore, Kenneth Moore, Kathleen Moore Brooks, Diane Moore Laurendeau, and her son, Samuel David Crouch.
Surviving Maria are her loving husband of 55 years, Edward James Crouch Jr.; her children, Sandra Marie Bentley (James K Bentley), Edward James Crouch III, Kathleen Bernice Crouch (Michael McCarthy), Richard Matthew Crouch, Joshua Lewis Crouch, and Phillip Christopher Crouch; her siblings, Archie “Butch” Moore, Hester Woodward, Tony Moore, Bobby Moore, and John Patrick Moore; her grandchildren, James Bentley, Brandon Bentley, David Bentley, Jacob Bentley, Hannah Bentley, Joey Crouch, Joshua Wallis, Jenny Crouch, Colton McCarthy, Jeremy Crouch, and Noah Crouch; her 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Maria was a missions ministry member at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Leesburg, Virginia. She loved gardening, flowers, animals, and caring for everyone in the family, especially her husband. She went everywhere with her husband, Jim. Maria was a homemaker and started her own business at 50. Her business name was Maria’s Cleaning Service, and she ran it for four years.
