Video Mystery Resolved: Missing Footage from Contentious Warren County Meeting Surfaces

Published

on

In a development that clarifies recent controversy, the Royal Examiner has obtained the recovered video footage from the December 10 Warren County Board of Supervisors meeting, filling a crucial 47-minute gap that had raised concerns among local residents.

Starting at about 3:05, the video dropped in the middle of Samuels Public Library Executive Director Erin Rooney’s comments and picked back up with the end of comments by Michael Whited.  The video below shows the missing segment of the video.

The lengthy seven-hour meeting, which drew unprecedented public attendance for discussions about creating a library board, initially caused confusion when county officials confirmed that approximately 40 minutes of video recording had gone missing from the official record.

The meeting attracted significant public interest, with 116 residents signing up to voice their opinions on the proposed library board.

The gap in the recording had sparked speculation among community members, particularly given the meeting’s focus on the controversial library board proposal. The restored footage now provides a complete record of all public comments and board discussions from that evening.

The December 10 meeting represents one of the longest public sessions in recent Warren County history, reflecting the community’s deep engagement with local governance issues, particularly those concerning public resources and oversight.
