Wanda Frances Brown (1943 – 2025)

Wanda Frances Brown, 81, of Front Royal, Virginia, formerly of Wardensville, West Virginia, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Sammy Campbell officiating.  Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Brown was born in Front Royal on July 8, 1943, to the late Jackson and Dora Tharpe Smith.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Aaron Davis, and two sisters, Shirley Juanita Turner and Mary Ann Callas.

Her two nephews, Joseph F. Ramey Jr. of Selbyville, Delaware, and Dana Lorne Ramey of University Park, Maryland, survive.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
