Children Activities by Samuels Public Library for the Month of March

These are the events being presented by the Youth Services Department at Samuels Public Library during the month of March 2025.  More information about Samuels Library and the programs and services available can be found at www.samuelslibrary.net or by calling (540) 635-3153.


Monday, March 3

11:00 AM – Music & Movement for Babies & Toddlers. Join our relaxed and joyful time with your little ones as we listen to music while learning some basic movements and multisensory activities designed to delight your baby. Registration is required.

Tuesday, March 4

4:00 PM – Make a Rainbow: Science Scouts. For ages 6-11.  Children will investigate a different STEM-related topic bi-weekly. This week we will design patterns with skittles and learn about reactions. Registration is required.

Saturday, March 8

2:30 PM – Lego Party: Teens Connect. For ages 12-18. Join us for Unplug Day as we put Lego kits together or use our imagination to create our own things.  There will be drawings for Lego kits! Registration is required.

Monday, March 10

11:00 AM – Music & Movement for Babies & Toddlers. Join our relaxed and joyful time with your little ones as we listen to music while learning some basic movements and multisensory activities designed to delight your baby. Registration is required.

Tuesday, March 11

10:30 AM – Make a Rainbow: Homeschool Hub. For ages 6-11. Children will work together as they go through the scientific method, gathering data, and drawing conclusions.  This week we will make designs with skittles and learn about reactions.  Registration is required.

Wednesday & Thursday, March 12 & 13

10:15AM – Toddler Story Time.  Bring your toddler to a potpourri of simple stories, fun songs, and a cute craft on Ducks. Siblings welcome. Registration is required.

11:00AM – Preschool Story Time.  Come in for an enjoyable hour filled with Duck stories, exciting sing-alongs, finger plays, and a nifty craft. Registration is required.

Monday, March 17

11:00 AM – Music & Movement for Babies & Toddlers. Join our relaxed and joyful time with your little ones as we listen to music while learning some basic movements and multisensory activities designed to delight your baby. Registration is required.

Tuesday, March 18

10:00 AM – Shake it Up With Silly Stories.  For ages 3-5.  Come listen to some silly stories and music and do some dancing to “get your sillies out” with Ms. Amy.  Registration is required.

Wednesday & Thursday, March 19 & 20

10:15AM – Toddler Story Time.  Bring your toddler to a potpourri of simple stories, fun songs, and a cute craft on St. Patrick’s Day. Siblings welcome. Registration is required.

11:00AM – Preschool Story Time.  Come in for an enjoyable hour filled with St. Patrick’s Day stories, exciting sing-alongs, finger plays, and a nifty craft. Registration is required.

Saturday, March 22

12:30PM – Dungeons & Dragons.  For ages 12-18. Join Sir Samuels on his final quest.  Bring your own character sheet or use one of ours.  Registration is required.

Monday, March 24

11:00 AM – Music & Movement for Babies & Toddlers. Join our relaxed and joyful time with your little ones as we listen to music while learning some basic movements and multisensory activities designed to delight your baby. Registration is required.

Tuesday, March 25

4:00 PM – Wind Power Car: Science Scouts. For ages 6-11.  Children will investigate a different STEM-related topic bi-weekly. This week we will build and test cars using wind power. Registration is required.

Wednesday & Thursday, March 26 & 27

10:15AM – Toddler Story Time.  Bring your toddler to a potpourri of simple stories, fun songs, and a cute craft on Colors. Siblings welcome. Registration is required.

11:00 AM – Preschool Story Time.  Read With the Sheriff! (Wednesday only) This week we will have a special guest from the Sheriff’s office!  Come in for an enjoyable hour filled with Color stories, exciting sing-alongs, finger plays, and a nifty craft! Registration is required.

Saturday, March 29

11:00 AM – Story Walk.  Join us as we welcome spring back with a new story at Eastham Park.  Come read The Best Flower Ever! and then plant your own seed!

3:00 PM – Hard Act to Follow presents The Sky is Falling.  Bring the family to see a live performance of the Sky is Falling with characters you didn’t know were in the story!

Monday, March 31

11:00 AM – Music & Movement for Babies & Toddlers. Join our relaxed and joyful time with your little ones as we listen to music while learning some basic movements and multisensory activities designed to delight your baby. Registration is required.
