New Leadership, New Direction? Warren GOP Mass Meeting Set for Feb. 12
The Warren County Republican Committee will be holding its biennial Mass Meeting on Thursday, February 12, at 7 pm at the Front Royal Volunteer Fire Department located at 221 N. Commerce Street, Front Royal, Virginia. Registration opens at 6 pm.
The Warren County Republican Committee (WCRC) is the officially recognized county unit of the Republican Party of Virginia. Every two years, the WCRC holds an open Mass Meeting to elect individuals to various positions. This year, the Mass Meeting will hold three different elections – one to elect the new Chairman of the Committee to a two-year term, another to elect individuals to become members of the WCRC, and one to elect people to become delegates for the 6th District’s convention, to be held April 26, 2026. If only one person applies to be the next Chairman, that person will become Chairman by default and acclamation, and that portion of the Mass Meeting will not take place.
According to the official call for the meeting, promulgated by current and outgoing Chairman Tom McFadden, Jr., all legal and qualified voters of Warren County under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and have the intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in this Mass Meeting.
The official call also lays out the procedures for individuals who wish to run for the open Chairman position, as well as the dates, deadlines, and costs for applying to become a member of the WCRC.
