Bluebell Festival Returns to Shenandoah River State Park This April
Celebrate the vibrant arrival of spring at the third annual Bluebell Festival on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Raymond R. “Andy” Guest Jr. Shenandoah River State Park, located at 350 Daughter of Stars Dr., Bentonville, VA.
Each year, the park’s scenic riverbanks come alive with blooming Virginia Bluebells, transforming the trails into a stunning carpet of blue and purple hues. This family-friendly festival highlights that natural beauty with live music, food trucks, local vendors, nature walks, ranger programs, and more.

Festival activities will take place in the picnic area and along the 1-mile Bluebell Trail, a natural surface path with exposed roots and rocks—perfect for a spring stroll among the blossoms.
Admission to the festival is free, but a $10 parking fee applies. Guests are encouraged to bring cash, as many vendors will not have access to card processing due to limited service in the area.
No registration is required, and all ages are welcome. For questions, accessibility needs, or vendor inquiries, contact megan.goin@dcr.virginia.gov or call (540) 622-2262. Additional information is available at ShenandoahRiver@dcr.virginia.gov or by calling the park office at 540-622-6840.
Come for the wildflowers—stay for the fun!
