David Perry McDaniel (1955 – 2026)

David Perry McDaniel, 70, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Warren Memorial Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 2 to 4 PM at the Front Royal United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

Mr. McDaniel was born on March 9, 1955, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to the late Nuel “Joe” and Doris Underwood McDaniel.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Megan McDaniel Lang.  He graduated from Warren County High School in 1973 and received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia in 1977.  Mr. McDaniel was a member of Front Royal United Methodist Church and the Front Royal Rotary Club, where he served as a past president and was a Paul Harris Fellow.  He served on the Warren County Planning Commission and the Board of Architecture Review for the Town of Front Royal, and in his spare time, he was an avid Redskins/Commanders and Washington Nationals fan.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Rhonda O. McDaniel; daughter, Lauren Perry McDaniel; two grandchildren, Avelyn Grace Lang and Justice Virginia Dean Green; and a host of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75231.
