Community Meeting to Highlight Amendments and Voter Participation

A conservative advocacy group is set to host a town hall event in Front Royal focused on several proposed constitutional amendments and voter engagement efforts across Virginia.

The Family Foundation Action, a faith-based nonprofit organization, announced it will hold a Warren County Town Hall on Monday, April 20, at 7 p.m. at the Warren County Community Center.

Organizers say the town hall will center on three proposed constitutional amendments they oppose, describing them as involving abortion policy, marriage laws, and redistricting. The group says the event’s goal is to inform residents and encourage civic participation ahead of upcoming elections.

The Family Foundation Action operates as a 501(c)(4) organization and is affiliated with The Family Foundation of Virginia. According to its mission, the group focuses on promoting what it calls responsible citizenship by educating and mobilizing voters and encouraging engagement with elected officials. The organization notes that it does not endorse candidates for public office.

In addition to hosting public events, the group provides activism training and voter outreach efforts. These include voter registration drives, targeted messaging campaigns, and digital outreach. The organization also works with a network of churches and community leaders to expand its reach, particularly among conservative voters.

Group leaders point to voter turnout as a key issue. They say participation among some voting blocs, including regular churchgoers, remains lower than expected. Increasing turnout, they argue, could have a significant impact on elections in Virginia.

The upcoming town hall comes as early voting is underway for an April special election tied to redistricting. Organizers say the event’s timing is meant to help voters better understand issues that may affect them at the ballot box.

Events like this are part of broader efforts by advocacy groups across the political spectrum to engage voters and shape public discussion around key policy issues. As Virginia continues to see closely watched elections, community forums, and town halls remain a common way for residents to hear directly from elected officials and advocacy organizations.

The April 20 meeting is expected to include discussion, information sharing, and opportunities for attendees to ask questions about the topics presented.
