Virginia State Police reported the recovery of 12 firearms and the seizure of more than $1 million in U.S. currency during ongoing crime suppression operations across the Commonwealth from May 20 through May 26.

The weekly report, released by State Police, highlights criminal interdiction efforts carried out in partnership with federal and local law enforcement agencies. Officials said the operations led to narcotics seizures, firearm recoveries, and investigations into multiple crimes throughout Virginia.

According to State Police, the 12 firearms recovered during the week were connected to criminal drug investigations and had an estimated value of $6,000. Law enforcement also seized $1,043,422 in U.S. currency.

Drug seizures during the same period had an estimated denied revenue value of $6,605,095, according to the report. The total included 89.8 pounds of cocaine, 43.1 pounds of marijuana, 11 pounds of psilocybin, 28 pounds of methamphetamine, 7.7 pounds of fentanyl, and 34.3 pounds of THC consumables.

The figures include seizures by Virginia State Police, State Police task forces, federal task forces, and assists involving other agencies.

State Police said the ongoing operations are part of broader efforts to disrupt criminal enterprises, support public safety, and assist the Governor’s initiatives on violent crime. Officials emphasized that cooperation between local, state, and federal agencies remains central to those efforts.

“The Virginia State Police remain steadfast in their mission to enhance public safety and uphold the laws throughout the Commonwealth,” the agency stated in its report.

The crime suppression report is issued weekly.
