Norton Wine Tour Minifests and Showcase Festival Return Across Virginia in 2026

Wine lovers across Virginia will have several chances this year to sample Norton wines from around the state as the Norton Network brings back its Wine Tour Minifests and Norton Showcase Festival for 2026.

The traveling event series will stop at three wineries between July and September, culminating in a larger showcase in November. Organizers say the events are designed to introduce more people to Norton, a grape with deep roots in Virginia, while giving established fans a chance to compare wines from several producers in one place.

The first minifest is scheduled for July 18 at Potomac Point Winery & Vineyard, located at 75 Decatur Road in Stafford. The second will take place Aug. 15 at Rappahannock Cellars, 14437 County Road 635 in Huntly. The third minifest is planned for Sept. 12 at DuCard Vineyards, 40 Gibson Hollow Lane in Etlan.

The 2026 Norton Showcase will be held Nov. 7 at Piedmont Meadows, 17937 Joplin Road in Triangle.

At each stop, multiple Virginia wineries will pour their Norton wines side by side. Guests will be able to meet winery representatives and winemakers, compare different styles, and learn how the grape changes depending on where it is grown and how it is produced.
