Come to the Empty Bowl Supper to benefit the House of Hope at 5 PM on March 22 at the Front Royal Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department’s Banquet Hall.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for students and $5 for children but you get a lot for your money. You will receive a beautiful handcrafted bowl created by the Kiln Doctor. They are very popular so come on time. Soups are donated by some of Front Royal’s finest restaurants including the Apple House, Bens Family Cuisines, Blue Wing Frog, Happy Creek Eatery, Pavemint Tap House and Soul Mountain Café. There will be a silent auction of gifts, art, services, treatments and crafts.

In addition to all that, you will be entertained by the Skyline High School Jazz Band the Passage Creek Rising. Where can you get all that for $30?

All proceeds from the Empty Bowl Supper go to the House of Hope, a residential, rehabilitative program for homeless men. Yes, the House of Hope provides shelter, but it also gives homeless men who have a sincere desire to move beyond homelessness a chance to reclaim their lives.

The heart of the program is case management that identifies the factors in a mans life that need improvement and their progress along the way to self-sufficiency. Many of men work while others seek employment and improve their educations. The House of Hope assists those grappling with poor physical health, mental health issues including addictions and the challenge of finding affordable housing.

Mark your calendar for the Empty Bowl Supper. It is a good cause. It is fun, the soup is delicious, and you get a bowl too.
