Andrew L. “Andy” Crowell (1968 – 2025)

Andrew L. “Andy” Crowell, 57, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Born on April 25, 1968, in Schenectady, New York, Andy was known for his warmth, wit, and deep love for animals—especially his beloved cat, Brian.

He was preceded in death by his father, Retired Colonel Arthur N. “Art” Crowell, and his uncle, Elmer N. “Casey” Crowell.

Andy is survived by his children, Krista Crowell and Caden Crowell, both of Sanford, North Carolina, from his former marriage to Sheri Vaughan. He is also survived by his mother, Judy Crowell of New Orleans, Louisiana; his brothers, Steven Crowell (Michelle) of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Timothy Crowell (Alicia) of New Orleans; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Morris Animal Foundation or the American Veterinary Medical Foundation to support research into animal diseases, including Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).
