The Front Royal-Warren County Chamber of Commerce hosted the first Candidate Forum on Thursday, October 17, at E. Wilson Morrison Elementary School for Warren County Sheriff, Board of Supervisors and Clerk of the Circuit Court.

First up will be the candidates for Warren County Sheriff. There are four candidates running for this position: Mark Butler, Jorge Amselle, Jason Poe and Mickey Licklider. Licklider was ill and not present at the forum.

The forum on October 24th will include candidates for Town of Front Royal Mayor, House of Delegates 15th, 18th and 29th Districts, and Senate of Virginia.

These forums offer community members an opportunity to listen to both local and state candidates answer issue-based questions and give voters insight of the candidate’s goals should they be elected.

Royal Examiner’s camera was there and captured the forum. As you watch, there are several times that there were issues with the audio, however this was beyond our control, but was corrected.
