Catherine Ann McDermott (1944 – 2024)

Catherine Ann McDermott, 79, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Warren Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Mrs. McDermott was born on November 22, 1944, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, to the late Jerry and Josephine Godiska Petrucelli. For many years, she crocheted afghans for charity.

Survivors include her husband, James “Mike” McDermott; two sons, David Conover and Richard Conover; two sisters, Mary Tanczos and Rosaline Fehnel; two granddaughters, Katherine Conover and Asia Elliot; and great-granddaughter, Persephine Elliot.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
