Mella Denise “Denny” Schuster (1942 – 2024)

Mella Denise “Denny” Schuster, 82, of Bentonville, VA, formerly of Irving, Texas, passed away on September 1st, 2024, at Hidden Springs Senior Living.

Ms. Schuster was born in Washington, D.C., on January 5th, 1942. She was the daughter of the late William and Ruby Thomasson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen William Schuster V.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Hanscome (Marty), and two grandchildren, Bradly Davis (Jasmyne) and Nikolas Hanscome. She is also survived by many wonderful friends and extended family in Texas.

Denny dedicated her life to teaching kindergarten and first grade for 39 years. She was a member of Plymouth Park United Methodist Church for many years. Her past hobbies include sewing, reading, playing board games, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Ms. Schuster will be laid to rest privately.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests that expressions of sympathy should be memorial contributions to the Irving Humane Society, 4140 Valley View Lane, Irving, Texas 75038.
