Celebrating Nick Crettier: 30 Years of Dedication to Front Royal Soccer Association

Published

on

Nick Crettier has been a pillar of the Front Royal Soccer Association (FRSA) for three decades, from 1994 to 2024. His journey began with coaching U7 with another former president, Katharine Fournier, and over the years, he has coached U7, U8, U10, and U12 teams. One of his most memorable coaching achievements was leading the U10 Comets, who had the worst record in the league, to a stunning victory in the Rainbow Game Final.

Nick’s contributions extend beyond coaching. He has served in various roles, including Commissioner of U19, U14, Head Commissioner, Uniform Commissioner, and notably, President of the FRSA, a position he humorously acquired after stepping out during a meeting. His presidency lasted three years.

Throughout his tenure, Nick has witnessed the FRSA play at several locations: Leaches Run fields, Stump fields (AVTEX), 15th Street field, fields off Westminster Drive (HJB fields), Rivendell fields, and finally, the Skyline Soccerplex. His commitment to the league is further demonstrated by his role as the League Photographer, where he generously donates a portion of his work back to the league each season.

Nick’s involvement doesn’t stop there. He is a regular at the concession stand, assists in transporting fans to fields, and is known for his grilling skills. FRSA proudly announces that the Senior Field will now be named the Nick Crettier Field to honor his unwavering dedication and service.

Congratulations, Nick, on 30 incredible years with FRSA. Your dedication and hard work have left an indelible mark on our community, and we look forward to many more years of your invaluable service.
