Published

on

Hot mulled wine is indeed a delightful treat for the cold season. It’s a classic beverage that combines the warmth of spices with the richness of wine, creating a cozy and aromatic experience. Here’s a simple recipe for you to enjoy:

Hot Mulled Wine Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle (25 ounces) red wine
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 cloves
  • 4 ounces brandy or Grand Marnier (optional)
  • 2 ounces honey
  • 1 lemon, cut into 6 slices

Directions:

  1. Combine Ingredients: Pour the wine into a medium saucepan. Add the orange slices, two cinnamon sticks, cloves, honey, and the brandy or Grand Marnier if using.
  2. Simmer: Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld together.
  3. Serve: Divide the hot mulled wine into six cups. Garnish each cup with a cinnamon stick (you can use the ones from the saucepan) and a slice of lemon.
  4. Enjoy: Sip and savor the warmth and flavors of your homemade hot mulled wine.

This beverage is perfect for gatherings or a quiet evening at home. It’s a classic way to bring a little extra warmth and cheer to the colder months. Enjoy responsibly! 🍷✨
